Alcons Audio will be exhibiting its evolutionary pro-ribbon based audio solutions in Hall A/B, Booth #475 at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Annual Conference & Stage Expo on March 28-31, 2012, in Long Beach, California.
Based in The Netherlands, Alcons Audio develops and manufactures professional sound systems for quality-conscious clients in the cinema, installation, and touring/rental industry. All products are built in house with traditional craftsmanship combined with the latest technologies, materials and production processes. Alcons’ sound systems excel in Hi-Fi sound quality at concert sound-pressure levels due, in part, to its proprietary high-power pro-ribbon technology.
Having established the company in 2002 and with rapid growth and acceptance around the world, Alcons announced the establishment of Alcons Audio USA Corp. in June of last year. This March during the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, Alcons Audio USA announced the official start of its “Pro Ribbon Experience” tour.
North American sales manager for Alcons Audio, David Rahn, explains, “Already, the ProRibbon Experience has provided many demonstrations for sound designers, consultants, integrators, and production market associates all across the country. The response to the product is amazing. At every stop we are winning people over.”
Participation in USITT is a natural progression for Alcons Audio, as performing arts theaters worldwide recognize that pro-ribbon technology is setting a new standard in terms of; SPL, projection, control and sound quality. Energetic growth is evident in this market as preferred venues are employing Alcons sound systems with dynamic results.
Alcons Audio is just one of the 3,800+ members of USITT, whose constituents have represented the United States, Canada and 40 other countries since 1960. The prestigious Conference and Stage Expo event is an annual focal point for performing arts and entertainment professionals, attracting over 4,000 attendees from all over the world.
On the show floor, Alcons Audio will be displaying essential “tools” for the sound designer from their range of Pro-Ribbon solutions; from point-source, through line-source to line array. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with the co-founder and managing director of
Alcons Audio, Tom Back, during the show and discuss the recent additions and updates to the Alcons Audio line of evolutionary audio solutions. On Thursday morning during the conference, Mr. Back, will host a presentation defining how New Transducer Technology is Enhancing the Theatre Experience from 9:30-10:45 am in room 101B of the LBCC (Long Beach Convention Center).
